It's all about the Bellinis!

All I need is a tropical beach, flip-flops and a champagne cocktail!

Saddo!

It's official. I have no life! I spent all last weekend in college and I will be spending all next weekend in college. Needless to say, I'm knackered and grumpy. L did take me to the 'Green & Red' Mexican restaurant for dinner on Saturday to cheer me up. We ate roasted pork belly and crackling - I was in heaven! G, I think we should go there when you're back. Given your meat embargo has been lifted. They had a rather fine selection of cocktails (not that I partook) and over 300 tequilas.

But, I can only dream at the moment. Back to study.

Just dawned on me that the new series of Bones is going to clash with Grey's A. You can't make me choose. That's just SO mean! I don't watch much TV and I like only a fraction of what I watch, so it's just sh*tty!

Must get me that SkyPlus thing.
WebSense

Oh, man! They've blocked YouTube! Now I can't watch hilarious Wayne Rooney Coke-ad outtakes or gross 'Preying Mantis v Grasshopper' clips at work.

Big Brother hasn't yet caught on to flickr.com yet though. Yay! Today I have mostly been looking at photos of the Great Paxman and rather dull Grey's Anantomy shots - topical as it's on Living TV tonight. Reason to be cheerful.

Oh, James. How I Love Thee!

In an attempt to beat my S.A.D. I am going to keep a 'Positive Thoughts Only' diary. Whilst I admit that I have had some pretty gloomy thoughts today, and actually at one point wanted to mutilate my boss for going off on one of his 'meetings' in the pub that last two hours and result in me doing all the work, I have had some thoughts at the opposite end of the spectrum:

Firstly, I've recently discovered flickr.com and today rekindled my love of the younger James Spader. Although he has broadened slightly in his more mature years I would have to say that Secretary was one of the sexiest, and most beautiful, films I have ever seen. Big up Maggie Gylenhaal (spelt wrong I'm sure) also.

Secondly, I've remembered just how delicious aubergines are. Roasted, smushed, in salads, as dip. And I love their colour and find the shape rather aesthetically pleasing.

Thirdly, my bitter resistance to traditional wedding lists (I REFUSE to buy anyone cutlery, crockery or any other household item I know they don't really need and can f*cking well afford to buy themselves) seems not to be that unusual. I'm so happy to see that for some couples, as for L and I, a wedding is about the people not the presents. If you're going to have a wedding list make it for something charitable/fun instead.

Fourthly, mini victoria sponges are genius. Hmmm seems to be a food theme here!

Fifthly, my new, extra-long, extra-soft and fluffy scarf is perfect for these crisp autumnal mornings. Seems to leave little fluffy deposits all over me though. Ooops forget that bit as negative..unless little fluffy deposits turn you on??!!
